image of man and woman with text "For equality and empowerment! Vote Yes! for the 2110 Centre for Gender Advocacy"The 2110 Centre for Gender Advocacy at Concordia is putting a fee levy question to Concordia graduate students as part of the upcoming GSA elections from April 3-5, 2012. You can help sustain initiatives to end gendered violence in all its forms by voting YES to the 2110 Centre for Gender Advocacy!

We are asking graduate students for a ¢50 per student, per semester fee levy to support our work. The fee levy is fully refundable.

Your modest contribution (no more than $1.50 per year) will ensure that graduate students are full members and participants of the 2110 Centre for Gender Advocacy.

By voting YES to 2110 you will sustain:

+ initiatives to end gendered violence and racism
+ solidarity initiatives with native, immigrant and international communities
+ volunteer, training, internship and job opportunities for grad students
+ a sexual assault centre campaign for a safer campus
+ free peer support and advocacy services for grad students
+ free educational workshops, discussions, speaking events and film screenings
+ free sexual health resources
+ endorsements and support for conferences and events
+ a library and 2 welcoming lounge spaces with free internet access
+ free meeting and event space

.

In the past year alone, the 2110 has grown by:

+ opening a 2nd location
+ creating a new workstudy position
+ increasing our number of event series
+ starting a weekly radio show, Dragonroot radio
+ starting a campaign for a sexual assault centre on campus
+ increasing our volunteer base for peer support and advocacy services as well as other initiatives
+ creating new action groups for social change
+ mobilizing many volunteers in support of the student strike

We need increased funding to sustain this growth!

Grad students can also join us on facebook or, just get in touch directly by phone (514-937-2110), e-mail (campaigns[at]genderadvocacy.org and promotions[at]genderadvocacy.org), or by visiting either of our 2 locations (1500 de Maisonneuve Ouest, #404, just above the Café Dépôt, and 2110 Mackay).

Voting will take place from Tuesday, April 3rd to Thursday, April 5th from 11am to 7pm. There will be voting booths in the lobby of the following buildings: Hall Building ground floor, EV Building Mezzanine (Guy and St. Catherine), MB Building (Guy and de Maisonneuve), Loyola-Renaud Building. Bring your student ID.

We encourage you to bring a Concordia graduate student friend to vote as well!
