Gender Inclusive Cities — A Walking Tour and Safety Audit (with
 Women in Cities)

Starts: Tuesday, March 20th 2012 at 6:00 pm
Ends: Tuesday, March 20th 2012 at 8:00 pm

Where do we feel safe/unsafe and why? Join us for a tour of the city and embark upon a participatory safety audit (bring your cameras, notepads etc!) This workshop is aimed at promoting gender inclusive access to public spaces.

This event is taking place as part of the Blue Print Project: a radio and popular education series to raise awareness about gendered violence. The project is a cooperative effort between Radio CKUT and the 2110 Centre for Gender Advocacy. Young women and girls from all communities, backgrounds and of all abilities are invited to take part in this collective, creative radio project. Twelve workshops on gender based violence will take place at the 2110 Centre for Gender Advocacy, and twelve workshops on making radio will take place at CKUT. No experience needed. Registration is free.

This workshop will take place at 2110 Mackay (metro Guy Concordia). The venue is wheelchair accessible.
